Rye Harrison Veterinary Hospital

Hospital Policies

Rye Harrison Veterinary Hospital has devised a few policies that we ask all clients to follow to improve the health, safety, and organization of our practice. Please read the policies carefully before visiting.

Waiting Room Policy

When in the waiting room, please make sure that your pet is restrained by either a non-retractable leash or a crate. No matter how well-trained or easy-to-handle your pet is, this rule is critical for the safety of everyone in the building.

If your dog or cat has a history of aggression, please let us know when scheduling your appointment and consider the use of a soft muzzle during your time in the waiting room. We can lend you one on request.

If your pet is particularly friendly, and loves to meet new animals and people, please remember to ask permission from our other guests before you let your pet approach them or their animal. Just like people, all pets have different personalities, and some are fearful or aggressive to new people or animals.

If you suspect your pet may have contracted a contagious disease, such as kennel cough, please let our receptionist know ahead of time and we can accommodate separate waiting arrangements to protect the health of our other patients.

Payment Policy

In order to provide each of our clients and their pets with the cutting-edge technology and highly educated and professional veterinary doctors that we employ, we must insist that all payments are made in full at the time of appointment.

We accept the following payment methods: cash, check, American Express, MasterCard, Visa, and Discover.

We also accept CareCredit®. Learn more about it here.

If you would like to receive an estimate prior to your visit, please speak to one of our receptionists. The provided estimate may not reflect final cost once the doctor has seen your pet; however, we will never perform additional services before discussing our recommendations with you first.

Pet insurance is becoming increasingly popular among pet owners and there are numerous companies offering a variety of plans.  If you are interested, we recommend our clients to do their own research to select a policy that is right for them and their pet.  Our staff members can provide information at your request.
