At Rye Harrison Veterinary Hospital, our professional animal caregivers will provide your pet with the care and attention they need during your travels. We are also fully equipped to administer needed medications and give special medical attention to pets who have chronic conditions and need special care. And if there is ever a medical emergency, a veterinarian will be alerted immediately, who may be only steps away during our business hours. Being primarily a medical facility, our staff is trained to pay extra attention to details concerning your pet, including appetite, demeanor, eliminations, and close monitoring of any signs of illness or stress.
We only offer our boarding services to our veterinary patients, so we can be sure of the patient’s vaccination history, medical history, and any potential behavioral issues they might have.
If you would like your pet to receive extra walks, this can be accommodated for an additional fee.
We are also able to board exotic pets; who can be difficult to find an appropriate caregiver for outside of veterinary professionals. Exotic pets such as birds and guinea pigs who can be sensitive to subtle changes in their environment such as temperature need a professional and knowledgeable caretaker to keep them healthy. Some clients bring their exotic pet’s home enclosures to keep them comfortable, but in other circumstances we can provide them with cages ourselves.
Vaccinations and tests required prior to the boarding reservation include:
